Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using RideCab's services.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using RideCab's services — including the rider app, driver app, website, and any other related services — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of services

RideCab provides a technology platform that connects riders seeking transportation with independent driver-partners, and customers seeking package delivery with independent courier-partners. RideCab is not a transportation company and does not provide transportation services. All transportation and delivery services are provided by independent contractors.

3. User accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create a RideCab account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep it updated. You may not share your account with others.

4. Rider obligations

As a rider, you agree to: (a) provide accurate pickup and destination information; (b) be ready for pickup within the estimated time; (c) treat drivers with respect and not engage in abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour; (d) not cause damage to a driver's vehicle; (e) comply with applicable laws during your trip; (f) wear a seatbelt at all times.

5. Driver obligations

As a driver-partner, you agree to: (a) hold all required licences, permits, and insurance to operate as a for-hire driver; (b) maintain your vehicle in a roadworthy condition; (c) treat riders with respect and professionalism; (d) comply with all applicable traffic laws; (e) maintain a minimum rating as required by RideCab's policies; (f) not use your phone while driving.

6. Pricing and payment

Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and applicable surge multipliers. All prices are shown before you confirm a booking. Payments are processed via our authorised payment partners. RideCab reserves the right to adjust pricing at any time. Promotional codes may be applied subject to the terms of the relevant promotion.

7. Cancellations and refunds

Riders may cancel a booking at any time. A cancellation fee may apply if cancelled after the grace period. Drivers may cancel a trip if circumstances warrant. Refund requests for overcharges or service failures must be submitted within 7 days via the Help Center.

8. Prohibited conduct

You may not use RideCab services: (a) for any unlawful purpose; (b) to transport or deliver illegal goods; (c) to harass, threaten, or harm other users; (d) to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform; (e) to create fake accounts or engage in fraudulent activity; (f) to circumvent RideCab's safety systems.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RideCab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to RideCab in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria. If you are using our services in another jurisdiction, local laws may also apply.

11. Changes to terms

RideCab reserves the right to update these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
